About
The Wastelander is a personal documentation site — a place to record homelab builds, self-hosting setups, and the ongoing effort to make technology work the way it should: locally, privately, and without a subscription.
Projects documented here include a full home network rebuild using a GL.iNet Flint 3 router and dedicated Proxmox infrastructure node, a three-machine homelab running Proxmox VE and Unraid, a self-hosted media and music stack, various 3D printing builds designed to hold it all together physically, and a running commentary on why the cloud is someone else's computer and why that matters.
Everything is documented as it happens — including the mistakes. Especially the mistakes.
I also help regular people set up their own home servers, fix their computers, and break free from corporate cloud subscriptions. No jargon. No judgment. Just results.
